Beware the Siren’s Call

The Siren’s Call

Hear my call, sweet one.

Come rest your weary bones.

You seek comfort and peace.

I will gladly provide; swim out to my side.

Abandon the shore to find solace and joy.

The land is cruel, sweet one.

Come play in my waves.

They are warm and inviting and kind.

Your place is with me, here deep in the sea.

Leave all of your troubles behind.

Sleep now, my sweet one.

Come rest your head.

I will keep all your burdens away.

No longer to toil in life’s cruel grasp.

No longer to toil, too weary to last.
